Nice downtempo remix from one of my favorite producers of all time Emancipator.
Medasin does what he does best and flips Portugal, The Man’s latest single with a bouncy chilled out vibe.
In just 10 days (while being on tour) Louis Futon has dropped two fantastic remixes after asking his fans for challenge suggestions. The first flip is of Kendrick Lamar’s “Pride” which turns the banging track into a hypnotic head nodder. He got so excited by the response that he’s dropped another remix of Frank Ocean’s “Solo” for good measure, and brings out the brass band sound in full force.
Heard this track playing at my gym. Guess that’s the norm if you live in Netherlands: quality techno is all around. Stunning reworking by the dutch master Joris Voorn of Sebastian Mullaert’s equally brilliant original.
Stunningly funky remix from German producer extraordinaire Roosevelt of the British indie-rockers Glass Animals. Catch them playing at O2 Academy Brixton tonight!
NAO. Kaytra. Bounce.
Kraak & Smaak’s 2016 album, Juicy Fruit, was wonderfully fresh and funky, not only because of the original tracks but also the plethora of remixes it birthed. The latest of those is this downtempo flip from accomplished frenchies, Fhin. Everything here is wonderfully calculated from the little guitar melody to the shuddering synth drop.
