Classic disco house incoming. Caught this track getting a play from the very talented Snacks when they played in Amsterdam a few days ago. Old school feels that just never let go. Big ups to Snacks for digging this one up and to Praise Cats and Andrea Love for the timeless sound.
There are few greater sights then capturing a musician in full flow of creativity. Seeing two like-minded artists in full flow is one of them. FKJ x Tom Misch. Pure genius. Shout out to Red Bull Studios Berlin for the video.
Sometimes disco is the only way to relieve the pain of a day where hate triumphs over love. Les Yeux Orange provide the best cure.
If you’ve watched Portlandia or listened to Washed Out you might just find this edit a wee bit familiar. Piano groovy.
I’ve loved Charles Bradley’s soul-filled music from the moment I heard “The World is Going Up in Flames” nearly 10 years ago. There can be no doubt, he is a singer that for whom every word he sings comes from straight the heart, with a classic feel that brings undeniable feels. I’m really looking forward to his latest album due out on Daptone Records on April 1st.
New years come every year, big woop. This cover from Astronauts Etc and Toro Y Moi is special with the right amount of nostalgia and melancholy. Happy New Year!
