Snowfalling outside, its time to wind back the clock with some old school feels. The instrumental from Shyheim’s (of Wu Tang Clan) “Shaolin Style” is so perfect, it could be a stand alone track. Produced by L.E.S.
Smooth funk from NZ’s HIGH HØØPS. Infectiously cool.
Brasstracks release their first original track in a while to mark the launch of a new US tour with Big Gigantic. Still waiting for the Brooklyn horns to make their way to Amsterdam but this track will tide me over for the time being.
Zikomo gone done it again.
This is the perfect track for winding down a winter weekend. Beautifully echoing piano melodies float over lush drums. Aso is the master.
New Orleans based rapper Pell teams up with Louis the Child for choice blend of Future and Hip Hop. Louis the Child’s production is on point and Pell brings the chilled vibes with a wonderfully catchy hook that you can’t help but smile to.

American producer Lane 8 has a knack for creating classic sounding House, whether that be in upbeat originals or spacey remixes. In the last week or so he’s got one of each for us. His original “With Me”, is simple track with a lush bassline and a hypnotic vocal sample that reels you in. His reworking of RUFUS’s already epic “Innerbloom” strips down the intro and creates a superb build into crescendo.
