Bearcubs – Do You Feel

One of my top picks to watch in 2018 is Bearcubs. Already with two stunning EPs under his belt, the London-based producer and songwriter has a debut album and tour due to launch in March. With tons of collabs and remixes with top artists, he’s already become a staple in the London scene, but I’m tipping him for even bigger things. His sound will draw comparisons to a slightly hyperactive James Blake or Maribou State.

La Chica – Be Able

I like to think that this video is the dystopian version of the ‘living’ images of Harry Potter. This phenomenally trippy music video from French/Venezuelan artist, La Chica (for another amazing video check out her visual for “Oasis”), is made up of old school magazine images that have been given a new life by director Ma-Ké.

Anna Meredith – Dowager

Anna Meredith is a London-based composer that creates music ranging from maximalist contemporary pieces to pleasantly quantit electro-pop folk music like with “Dowager”. In a lot of ways, the song reminds me of my longtime pop/folk favorites Tunng. The music video is wonderfully crafted by Director and Animator Ewan Jones Morris.
