Sydney based artist Wishes has just blown me away with this supremely catchy track. Underpinned by some solid production and addictive melodies, the song just refuses to leave my head. New Aussie on the block indeed.
I like to think that this video is the dystopian version of the ‘living’ images of Harry Potter. This phenomenally trippy music video from French/Venezuelan artist, La Chica (for another amazing video check out her visual for “Oasis”), is made up of old school magazine images that have been given a new life by director Ma-Ké.
Nothing better on a Friday to kick off a weekend then some old school Jamiroquai. Rayko provides a suberb extended re-edit of the classic groovy track. Move, it’s the weekend!
Dewayne Jackson seems like he’s warming up for something big. “Truth Is” is masterclass of rhymes, storytelling and flow. The phenomenal swaying production from Andre Paxton provides the opportunity that Jackson grabs with both hands, spilling his sorrows with energy and elegance that makes you nod your head.
Queens-based rapper and R&B artist Anik Khan dropped his debut 10-track tape and my standout track is “Sunlight”. Solid production from Jarreau Vandal and featuring vocals from Luna, Anik showcases his versatillity, switching seamlessly between spitting rhymes and adding smooth vocals. Check out the rest of the project below.
Auckland based duo SACHI continue to make waves far beyond the shores of New Zealand. Aided by some smooth and punchy vocals from Nïka on this occasion, the SACHI boys bring the same upbeat infectious sound that is taking the Southern Hemisphere by storm.
French trio Point Point team up with Denai Moore for a futuristic track that just the right balance of pop and funk.
